How redemption works (for courses)

This system works even if your POS doesn’t support gift cards. Think of it like a prepaid voucher: customers pay online, and your staff honors it in person.

What the customer receives

After purchase, the customer gets an email containing:

  • The gift card amount
  • A unique gift code (example: GCFG-8F3K-29QX)
  • Simple instructions to show the code at checkout

How your staff redeems it

At checkout, your staff:

  1. Asks the customer for the gift code
  2. Records the code (or enters it into your tracking sheet)
  3. Applies the gift amount as a discount to the sale
  4. Keeps the code on file to prevent double-use

What if our POS can’t process gift cards?

No problem. You don’t need POS gift card features. Your staff simply treats the code as proof of prepayment and applies the value at checkout.

Simple tracking method (recommended)

Most courses start with one simple log:

  • Date
  • Gift code
  • Amount
  • Staff initials
  • Notes (optional)
